Updates and Steps for the New CRC System
Please note: The new Criminal Record Check (CRC) system went live on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
- CRCs will continue to be processed as name-based checks. However, the new system now serves as the single location for requesting CRCs and receiving all results.
- Prohibition Letters and Court Letters will no longer be sent via email. Instead, these letters—and their statuses—will be available directly on the employee list, similar to the current “No Match” (also known as “Cleared”) results.
- The system now supports multiple authorized users for each facility or provider.
- For any new applicant, the system will automatically check the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry (KNAR) for any prohibitions, including Adult Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation (ANE) findings and criminal convictions, when using the “Request Existing Individual” option. If a prohibition exists, the system will display a message indicating that a CRC cannot be completed.
