The Ban List will benefit sponsors applying for 90-Hour CNA courses when adding clinical sites.
The list of facilities with active bans will allow sponsors to see if a clinical location has an active BAN. This allows them to make an informed decision and offers an opportunity to choose another location. Sponsors can also contact KDADS's education administrator to see if the facility is back in compliance. If the facility is back in compliance, a waiver could be obtained by the sponsor (teaching facility) and forwarded to KDADS for review and course approval. A waiver will only work on a facility with a ban that is back in compliance. Any waiver presented for a facility with a ban not yet back in compliance will be denied and sponsor will be sent notification that a new clinical site is needed.
The first two courses offered by an approved sponsor through a system of training using the internet or distance learning technologies will be under pilot status and will require a written proposal submitted at least four weeks before the start date of the course.
