Statewide Crisis System Technology Resource
The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Behavioral Health Services Commission, invites organizations to provide insights and subject matter expertise on the development of a technology resource to effectively connect the continuum of crisis services across Kansas. Please note that this request for information does not guarantee vendor involvement, secure ongoing project commitment, nor constitute the submission of an application to perform the tasks of this project. All vendor responses will be reviewed and used to inform the possible development of a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Please submit all questions related to the RFI by the end of business January 23, 2026.
Vendor responses are due by 5 p.m. on February 20, 2026.

Consumer Run Organizations
The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Behavioral Health Services Commission, announces the release of a Request for Application (RFA) for the Consumer Run Organization (CRO) Grant. Eligible applicants are Kansas Consumer Run Organizations (CROs) that provide programs that develop, provide, and maintain peer support services for individuals that self-identify as people who have experienced mental health challenges, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on March 30, 2026.

Nursing Home Civil Money Penalty (CMP) Reinvestment Program
Civil Money Penalties (CMP) are monetary penalties (fines) imposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) against nursing facilities that have failed to maintain compliance with federal requirements. A portion of these funds are returned to the states and may be used for projects supporting activities that benefit nursing facility residents, or that protect and improve their quality of life or care. CMP funds may be used for, but are not limited to, the following:
- Training
- Transition Preparation
- Culture change/quality of life
- Projects that support resident and family councils
- Resident transition due to facility closure or downsizing
