Also known as The Canteen. This is a great place to get an extremely reasonably priced meal, drink or snack. Resident employees help with all aspects of operating a café. They also provide order delivery on grounds.

Recycling

Resident employees collect cardboard boxes from cottages then break them down, load and deliver the boxes to the collection bin for transport to local recycling facilities.

Clay Things

Residents prepare clay moldings, cut out clay items, clean green ware and bisque, and paint ceramic items.

Resident employees shred confidential documents.

Housekeeping Assistants

Resident employees learn and perform janitorial duties in PSH&TC offices, service areas and cottages. Employees also work for two community businesses performing janitorial services.

Horse Barn and Work Crew

Resident employees learn work skills while assisting the Maintenance Department with various duties needed to keep PSH&TC looking good and running smoothly. They provide maintenance and upkeep for two on-ground riding arenas. Employees are also responsible for caring for the livestock utilized annually during the Gary J. Daniels Sunbelt Rodeo and daily for Adaptive and Therapeutic riding.

Copies2 / Kustom Parts

This enclave's employees complete various sub-contracted work for local industries. Jobs vary in complexity from packaging hardware kits, putting together customer assembly or information packets, bulk mail, copies and completing individual part assemblies.

Laser Designs

Employees learn computer, photography and laser operation skills. They complete customized laser engraving and sublimation products for customers.

Laundry

Resident employees perform the duties needed to provide laundry services to the cottages, from sorting and folding.

LBJ Deliveries

Oak Cottage residents purchase basic food supplies in the community and deliver them to the cottages and daycare. They deliver lunches daily to the daycare located on the PSH&TC campus.

Packaging

Residents break down supplies purchased in bulk (trash bags, plastic utensils, personal grooming items, socks, etc.) into smaller, more manageable quantities for use on grounds. They put together kits used by the PSH&TC hospital and package and deliver dietary supplements. Packaging employees assist with the PSH&TC newsletter by folding and labeling and offer similar services to the community.

Screen Printing

Custom printing for long- or short- sleeved T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Store Room Delivery

Resident employees assist the PSH&TC storeroom by putting together supply orders and delivering those supplies.

The Wood Shop

Resident employees learn woodworking techniques, staining and varnishing. They are taught to safely operate the tools, chemicals, and equipment associated with woodworking.

Toner Refill and Recycle Service

Toner employees learn how to clean, refurbish and refill toner cartridges by hand, and computer printer ink cartridges using a SELECT JET II ink refill machine. This area also maintains all payroll records for resident employees.

Trash Collection

Residents empty waste baskets in office areas on campus.
